SUMMARY:In silico models and read-across
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:PARC organised a remote training course on In Silico Models and
Read-Across\, which took place from 3 to 4 March 2025 under the scientifi
c coordination of the Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche Mario Negri (IRF
MN)\, Italy. The program introduced participants to the principles\, appli
cations\, and limitations of in silico models\, with a focus on the VEGAHU
B platform.Training Content• Introduction to in silico models: relevance
 \, advantages\, and limitations• Data processing\, chemical descriptors\
 , algorithms\, validation\, and applicability domains• Exploration of re
ad-across tools and integration of results from in silico models• Interp
retation of outputs and critical assessment of reliability• Hands-on exe
rcises and case studies using VEGAHUBTarget audienceThe course was designe
d for beginner-level risk assessors and researchers seeking to expand thei
r skills.&nbsp\;Practical detailsThe two-day online course was free of cha
rge and open to both PARC members and non-members\, with priority given to
PARC participants.&nbsp\;Training highlightsFor a detailed summary of the
training outcomes and participation\, please click here. Some of the train
ing materials developed and used during the training are now available her
e ↗. You can also find these and other related training resources in th
