SUMMARY:Introduction to Statistics with R
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:The Introduction to Statistics with R workshop took place from
20 to 22 November 2025 at the University for Health Sciences\, Medical Inf
ormatics and Technology (UMIT) in Hall in Tirol\, Austria. This intensive
three-day course provided a practical introduction to statistical analysis
using the R programming language. Through a combination of lectures and h
ands-on exercises\, participants learned how to navigate R\, manage data s
tructures\, perform descriptive and inferential statistics\, conduct hypot
hesis testing\, and build basic regression models. The course also offered
guidance on creating quality data visualisations to support effective com
munication of results.Target audienceThis course was ideally suited for st
udents\, researchers\, and professionals with a basic understanding of sta
tistics who aimed to develop applied skills in R for data analysis and vis
ualisation. It served as a solid foundation for those working in health\,
biomedical\, or life sciences\, as well as other data-driven research fiel
 ds.
