SUMMARY:Advanced Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:The online course Advanced Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis
was held from 23 to 25 May 2024. The program introduced participants to a
dvanced methods for conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses\, with
a focus on both frequentist and Bayesian approaches. Participants explore
d techniques to investigate heterogeneity\, methods for diagnostic accurac
y and network meta-analysis\, and the role of meta-analysis in clinical gu
ideline development\, health technology assessment\, and decision making.
 The course combined lectures\, hands-on tutorials\, and computer-based exe
rcises to ensure an interactive and practical learning experience.Target a
udienceThe course was designed for health professionals\, scientists\, con
sultants\, and students at PhD\, Master\, or medical level with an interes
t in flexible approaches to data analysis and visualization. A basic knowl
edge of introductory statistics and prior exposure to statistical software
were expected. The course was open to both native and non-native English
 speakers.
