10th Norwegian Environmental Toxicology Symposium – Environmental Research and the One Health Concept
The 10th Norwegian Environmental Toxicology Symposium (NETS 2025) ↗ will take place at the University of Stavanger, focusing on environmental research and the One Health concept. The symposium aims to bring together the Norwegian scientific community, environmental managers, and industry stakeholders to address environmental challenges and share sustainable solutions for protecting ecosystems. NETS 2025 will emphasize the need to understand and mitigate the impacts of multiple anthropogenic stressors on the oceans. It promotes an integrated, multidisciplinary approach toward advancing knowledge on ocean health and aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal 14: Life Below Water.
Researchers Knut Erik Tollefsen ↗, Walter Zobl, and Sam Welch ↗ from the Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA) ↗ will represent PARC through several research outputs:
qData – A Web-Based FAIRification Workflow for (Eco)toxicological Dose(Concentration)-Response Data
The Source To Outcome Pathway (STOP) – Next Generation Risk Assessment (NGRA) Put into Practice
Physically Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) Model for the Arctic Fish Species Atlantic Halibut
Integration of Lines of Evidence to Facilitate Prioritisation of Plastic Leachates for Toxicity Testing
An Aggregate Exposure Pathway for Copper in Norway
eData: A Format and FAIRification Tool for Exposure Data
NETS 2025 offers a unique opportunity to advance interdisciplinary collaboration and explore cutting-edge research in environmental toxicology under the One Health umbrella. We warmly invite all researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders to join the discussion in Stavanger this August.
