The 14th BfR-Summer Academy 2026, organised by the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), will take place online from 15 to 19 June 2026. This lecture series offers advanced training on food safety and risk assessment, focusing on the European and German contexts. Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of hazard and exposure assessment, data quality, risk communication, and the evaluation of chemical and microbial risks in food.

Target audience
The Summer Academy is aimed at professionals working in public institutions, with a background in biology, chemistry, medicine, veterinary medicine, toxicology, or related disciplines. Participants are expected to have professional experience in risk assessment analysis, a strong command of English, and basic statistical knowledge.
