This 3-day course on Modelling Approaches for HTA, will take place from 15 to 17 April 2026 in Hall in Tirol, Austria. This hands-on workshop offers a comprehensive introduction to six key modelling techniques used in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and public health, combining theoretical foundations with practical exercises. Participants will explore decision trees, Markov models, microsimulation, discrete event simulation, agent-based models, and infectious disease models. Real-world case studies from both acute and chronic disease areas will guide applied learning throughout the course.

This course is intended for professionals working in healthcare and health policy organisations, national HTA agencies, the pharmaceutical and medical device industry, academic institutions, health insurers, and consultancy firms. No prior experience with the specialised software used in the course is required.
