JRC Summer School on Non-Animal Approaches in Science
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) will host the JRC Summer School on Non-Animal Approaches in Science from 19 to 23 May 2025. Applications are now open for this program, which will focus on innovative non-animal methods for studying diseases, developing therapies and ensuring chemical safety.
Participants will delve into cutting-edge in vitro methods and computational modeling, explore alternatives to animal testing in disease studies and therapy development, and learn about career opportunities in non-animal science.
This event is particularly suited for Master's or PhD students and early-career scientists (up to 4 years post-graduation) in relevant fields who have a strong interest in non-animal methods in research and application. It will offer a unique opportunity to engage with experts, enhance research skills, and connect with like-minded professionals.
PARC is proud to contribute to the scientific programme with a presentation entitled “Establishment of an embryonic zebrafish neurosphere model to evaluate developmental neurotoxicity”, presented by Indigo Brakus ↗, PhD candidate at the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) ↗.
