Occupational Toxicology
The Occupational Toxicology training, organised as part of the Postgraduate Education in Toxicology (PET) programme, will take place from 19 to 21 May 2026 on-site and 2 to 3 June 2026 online. Hosted by Radboud University, the course offers a comprehensive overview of occupational toxicology, focusing on chemical hazards in the workplace, exposure assessment methods, and the development of occupational exposure standards.
Participants will explore topics such as hazard assessment, characterisation of inhalation and dermal exposure, biomonitoring, and the toxicology of substances including amines, metals, nanoparticles, and complex emissions. The programme also includes practical training in skin absorption modelling, biological monitoring, and dose-response analysis.
Target audience
This course is ideal for those interested in toxicology, occupational hygiene, epidemiology, or related disciplines. Participants will gain a strong foundation in occupational toxicology research and risk assessment methods, and develop the ability to apply these skills to real-world workplace exposure scenarios.
