Plant Protection Products: Use, Risk and Regulation
The Plant Protection Products: Use, Risk and Regulation course will take place from 16 to 25 March 2026 in Copenhagen, Denmark. This specialised course will examine the science underpinning the development, use, risk assessment, and regulation of plant protection products, including chemical, biological, and biotechnological pesticides. Participants will explore modes of action, environmental fate, ecotoxicological effects, and regulatory frameworks at national and international levels. The programme will combine lectures, group-based theoretical exercises, a pratical laboratory experiment, alongside statistical data analysis in R and an excursion to CropLife Denmark’s Experimental Farm.
Target audience
This course is particularly suited for PhD students with backgrounds in biology, biotechnology, agronomy, or related natural sciences. It will also be relevant for researchers interested in pesticide risk assessment and ecotoxicology.
