Environmental Occurrence, Hazard & Risk of per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances Symposium
The 4th EnvironChemTox Symposium on PFAS ↗ (per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances) will focus on the environmental occurrence, fate, exposure, bioaccumulation, and ecotoxicological risks of PFAS. As PFAS continue to draw global attention for their persistence, mobility, and health impacts, this event offers a timely platform for scientists, regulators, and industry stakeholders to share advances and discuss challenges.
PARC research will be strongly represented with two contributions:
- Laetitia Six (OVAM ↗, Belgium) will present “Decoding PFAS Behavior in Soils: Evidence from Three PARC Case Studies on Leaching, Source Identification and Spatial Distribution”
- Pavel Babica ↗ (RECETOX ↗, Masaryk University ↗, Czechia) will present “From Signals to Suspects: Exploring Cellular Dialogue via Gap Junctions in the Detection of Non-Genotoxic Carcinogens”
These contributions reflect PARC’s engagement both in PFAS environmental science and mechanistic toxicology.
