Endocrine disruptors - identification and assessment
The Institute of Environmental Medicine at Karolinska Institutet hosted a course on Endocrine Disruptors – Identification and Assessment from 17 to 21 February 2025 in Stockholm, Sweden. The program focused on understanding how endocrine disruptors—external substances or mixtures that interfere with the endocrine system—affect hormone receptors and hormone levels, leading to adverse health outcomes and endocrine-related diseases. Participants explored molecular mechanisms, applied methodologies for identifying and analysing endocrine disruptors, and studied EU criteria and future challenges in their assessment.
Target audience
The course was designed for anyone who may benefit from gaining a deeper understanding of endocrine disruptors and their impact on health.
