In Vitro Applied Training Course
The ESTIV Applied Training Course on In Vitro Toxicology will take place over six days from 16 to 21 November 2025 in Bratislava, Slovakia. This course is designed to meet the growing need for professionals skilled in applying non-animal methods for chemical safety assessment in response to evolving European legislation. It combines expert-led lectures with practical demonstrations and interactive case-study group exercises. Participants will explore a wide range of topics, including regulatory frameworks, the use and validation of alternative methods, cell-based models, omics technologies, and in vitro–in vivo extrapolation. Special sessions will cover innovative tools such as 3D printing, stem cell models, organ-specific systems, and advanced microfluidics.
Target audience
This course is particularly suited for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, early-career scientists, and professionals from academia, industry, or regulatory bodies who are new to or actively working in the field of in vitro toxicology. Ideally, candidates should have a background in toxicology, biology, biomedical sciences, chemistry, pharmacy, or related disciplines. All participants must be proficient in English.
