As part of the PARC webinar series on risk communication, PARC is organising a webinar on the "Engaging communities and stakeholders effectively for risk communication", which will take place online via Zoom on 27 June 2025, from 12:00 to 13:00 CET.

The session will be led by Ana Gama, researcher at the National School of Public Health, NOVA University Lisbon.

What to expect:

This interactive webinar will explore how meaningful engagement with communities and stakeholders supports more effective risk communication, particularly in the field of public health, including areas like chronic disease prevention and health promotion. Special attention will be given to how engagement can help reach populations facing vulnerabilities, such as those with low health literacy, socioeconomic disadvantage, or migration backgrounds.

Learning outcomes:

By the end of the session, participants will:

  • understand the role of engagement in building trust and strengthening risk communication,
  • be familiar with core principles and ethical aspects of participatory approaches,
  • know how to identify relevant community groups and stakeholders,
  • gain practical insight into tools and methods for inclusive planning and implementation.

Who should attend:

This training course is open to a wide range of stakeholders, including PARC partners and other members of the National Hubs, who would benefit from understanding the principles of risk communication.

Application deadline:

You can submit your application up until the start of the webinar.
