The webinar A Gentle Introduction to the Semantic Web will take place online on 20 April 2026 from 14:00 to 15:00 CET and is organised by the HemaFAIR EU project and the HELIOS COST Action. Delivered by Dr Andra Waagmeester (Amsterdam UMC, NL ), this session will provide an accessible introduction to the core concepts of the Semantic Web and its relevance for biomedical research. It will explore how semantic technologies support data integration, interoperability, and reuse, in line with FAIR data principles.
