The Mastering Research Data Management for Human Data: Safeguarding Sensitive Information and Elevating Data Security 2026 training course will be held online on 27 and 28 January 2026, from 10:00 to 13:00 CET. Organised by de.NBI (German Network for Bioinformatics Infrastructure) and ELIXIR-DE (German Node of the European Life Science Infrastructure for Biological Information), in collaboration with GHGA (German Human Genome-Phenome Archive), this interactive course offers practical guidance on managing human research data securely, ethically, and in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Participants will engage in expert-led presentations covering key Research Data Management (RDM) topics such as legal and ethical responsibilities, data subject rights, informed consent, secure data sharing, and best practices for data collection and storage. Real-world case studies and tools like RDMkit, DSW, and GHGA Consent Modules will support applied learning.
