21st International Workshop on Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationships in Environmental and Health Sciences
The 21st International Workshop on Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationships (QSAR2025) will convene from 3 to 6 June 2025 at the Mario Negri Institute in Milan, Italy. This biennial event gathers researchers from academia and industry, regulators, and stakeholders worldwide to discuss advancements and applications of QSAR methodologies in health and environmental sciences. The workshop serves as a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, fostering collaborations and sharing insights on the development and regulatory use of QSAR models.
The programme covers advances in QSAR modelling, AI integration, in silico strategies for data-poor substances, regulatory applications, and their role in drug safety, environmental sustainability, and green chemistry.
PARC will contribute to the scientific programme with the following presentations:
- The Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR) and FAIR Lite Principles to Ensure Utility of Computational Toxicology Models Presented by Uko Maran ↗ (University of Tartu ↗, Estonia)
- Development of QSAR Models for Transthyretin Binders, Possibly Disrupting the Thyroid Hormone System Presented by Atika Nurani ↗ (DTU National Food Institute ↗, Denmark)
- Chemical Structure Extraction from Patents: Insights and Challenges in Chemical Structure Recognition Presented by Patrik Andersson ↗ (Umeå University ↗, Sweden)
- In silico strategies applied for the identification of Non-Genotoxic Carcinogens Presented by Giuseppa Raitano ↗ (Mario Negri Institute ↗, Italy)
- Analysis and evaluation of genotoxicity and carcinogenicity assessment across legislations, with a special focus on (Q)SAR based approaches Presented by Cecilia Bossa ↗ (Italian National Institute of Health ↗, Italy)
QSAR2025 offers a unique opportunity to engage with experts in the field of computational toxicology and contribute to discussions shaping the future of QSAR applications in environmental and health sciences.
