46th Mycotoxin Workshop: Advancing Research in Mycotoxin Science
The 46th Mycotoxin Workshop will be held from 25 to 28 May 2025 in Martina Franca, Italy. Organized by the Society for Mycotoxin Research, this annual event has been a cornerstone in the field since 1979, bringing together experts from academia, government, and industry to discuss the latest developments in mycotoxin research. The workshop covers a broad range of topics, including the occurrence, toxicology, analysis, and risk assessment of mycotoxins. It serves as a platform for scientists to exchange knowledge, foster collaborations, and discuss strategies to mitigate mycotoxin-related risks. The scientific program will feature:
- Oral and poster presentations on cutting-edge mycotoxin research
- Sessions on analytical methods, exposure assessment, and toxicological studies
- Discussions on regulatory aspects and risk management strategies
- Networking opportunities with leading experts in the field
PARC will contribute to the scientific program with the following presentations:
- Impact of Enniatin B Exposure on Intestinal Health: A Study Using Human Primary Cells – presented by Anita Solhaug ↗ (Norwegian Veterinary Institute) ↗
- Mycotoxin Metabolism Matters: Unlocking the Immunotoxicity of Enniatins and Beauvericin – presented by Dino Grgic ↗(University of Viena) ↗
- Physiologically Based Kinetic Modelling of the Emerging Mycotoxin Alternariol for Toxicological Risk Assessment- presented by Eszter Borsos ↗ (University of Viena) ↗
PARC encourages interested parties to participate in this event to engage with the scientific community and contribute to discussions on improving food and feed safety.
