Laboratory Network Group on PARCopedia: Connecting Labs Across Europe

A new Laboratory Network group has been launched on PARCopedia, the collaborative knowledge platform developed within the PARC project, creating a dedicated space for laboratories across Europe to exchange expertise, discuss technical challenges and strengthen collaboration in chemical risk assessment.

As a European partnership working to advance next-generation chemical risk assessment, PARC brings together institutions, researchers and experts across disciplines. In this context, PARCopedia was created as a shared space to support exchange, collaboration and knowledge building within the wider chemical risk assessment community.

PARCopedia is open not only to PARC partners, but to the broader scientific community working in chemical risk assessment. By creating dedicated thematic spaces, it helps connect people with complementary expertise, encourages discussion across sectors and countries, and supports the sharing of knowledge relevant to chemical safety and risk management.

Within this framework, the Laboratory Network group offers a dedicated space for laboratories across Europe to connect, exchange experience and build stronger links within the analytical and research community. The group provides opportunities to:

  • Share expertise on analytical methods, sampling strategies, instrumentation, analytical techniques, and quality assurance/quality control;
  • Exchange research findings and discuss technical challenges;
  • Foster cross-disciplinary collaboration and thematic discussions on emerging topics

    Access information on training and funding opportunities, supporting capacity building and innovation.

By bringing together laboratories and experts working in different contexts, the group can help strengthen cooperation, improve the visibility of ongoing work, and encourage the circulation of knowledge and good practices across Europe.

The Laboratory Network group also reflects PARC’s broader objective of building stronger scientific networks and supporting a more connected European community in chemical risk assessment. Through PARCopedia, these exchanges can continue beyond individual meetings or projects, creating a more permanent and collaborative space for discussion and learning.
