The 17th Congress of the European Society of Contact Dermatitis (ESCD 2026) ↗ will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 24 to 27 June 2026. Hosted at the Maersk Tower of the University of Copenhagen, the congress will bring together leading researchers, clinicians, and public health experts to discuss the latest advances in contact dermatitis and related skin disorders. The scientific programme will cover topics including emerging contact allergens, occupational and hand eczema, immune responses, diagnostic challenges, adverse reactions to drugs and medical devices, and novel approaches to prevention and treatment.
PARC will be represented by:
- Mathias Krogh Pedersen (The Capital Region ↗, Denmark) will present a communication entitled Methylchloroisothiazolinone and Methylisothiazolinone 10 years after regulation - A case story of liquid soaps and shampoos,
- Alexandra Seibel (Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences ↗, Denmark) will present a communication entitled The effect of mixtures of contact allergens on skin sensitization.
As one of Europe's leading scientific forums on contact dermatitis and environmental skin health, ESCD 2026 provides an important opportunity to exchange knowledge on the health impacts of chemical exposures and emerging approaches to risk assessment and prevention. The congress closely aligns with PARC’s mission to strengthen the scientific basis for chemical risk assessment and support the protection of human health through interdisciplinary research and collaboration.
