International Food Safety Conference on Dietary Risk Assessment of Pesticide Residues

Date
05 ─ 06.05.2026
Venue
Düsseldorf, Germany

The 24th International Akademie Fresenius Food Safety Conference on Dietary Risk Assessment of Pesticide Residues will bring together experts from regulatory authorities, academia and industry to discuss current developments in food safety and dietary risk assessment. The conference will focus on topics including maximum residue levels (MRLs), pesticide residues, regulatory developments, data needs, risk assessment methodologies and cumulative dietary risk assessment. The programme also offers opportunities to exchange perspectives on current challenges and future developments in pesticide risk assessment. More information about the event is available on the Akademie Fresenius website

PARC will be represented by Jacob van Klaveren, from the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), the Netherlands, presenting the communication entitled “EFSA-RIVM Collaboration to Implement Cumulative Risk Assessment Methodology in MCRA.” The presentation will provide an overview of developments in the Monte Carlo Risk Assessment (MCRA) platform in line with regulatory processes, explore possibilities for prospective cumulative risk assessment for end-users, and address the use of human biomonitoring data for risk assessment.

The conference offers an important opportunity to discuss how scientific advances, tools and methodologies can support more robust dietary risk assessment of pesticide residues. PARC’s contribution reflects the Partnership’s commitment to advancing approaches for assessing combined chemical exposures and strengthening the scientific basis for chemical risk assessment in Europe.
