The 41^st International Conference on Environmental Geochemistry and Health – SEGH 2026 will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

 The conference will bring together researchers, scientists, students, industry representatives and other members of the international SEGH community from around the world. The event will provide a platform for presenting recent research findings, exchanging knowledge and discussing current developments at the intersection of environmental geochemistry and human health. 

The main themes of SEGH 2026 will include: inorganic and organic contaminants in the geosphere, environmental geochemistry and human health in the context of extreme weather events, impacts of the living environment on human health, emerging technologies and current challenges in environmental geochemistry, biogeochemistry, medical geology and toxicology, forensic geology, environmental crime and the application of geochemical methods in criminal investigations, environmental geochemistry and health more broadly. 

The conference will offer an opportunity to present research results, exchange expertise and strengthen collaboration among researchers and professionals working on the links between environmental exposures, geochemistry and human health. 

PARC will be represented by Teja Čeru ↗ (Geological Survey of Slovenia ↗, Slovenia) with a presentation entitled Children’s Lead Exposure in a Legacy Pb–Zn Mining Region (Upper Meža Valley, Slovenia): IEUBK Modelling Validated by Biomonitoring.
