The Winter School in Clinical Epidemiology will take place from 15 to 19 February 2027 in Hall in Tirol, Austria. This five-day certified university course will provide an introduction to key concepts and methods in clinical epidemiology and public health. Participants will explore epidemiological measures and study designs, bias and causal inference, disease risk and prognosis, and methods such as Kaplan-Meier curves and Cox regression models. The course will also address the design and analysis of randomized clinical trials and case-control studies, diagnostic research and Bayes’ theorem, as well as decision analysis in public health and medicine, including clinical decision analysis and cost-effectiveness analysis.
