Fourth Safe and Sustainable by Design Boot Camp
PARC is organising the Fourth Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) Boot Camp, an in-person training event focused on the practical implementation of the SSbD framework in research and innovation. The Boot Camp will take place from 21 to 23 October 2026 in Athens, Greece under the scientific coordination of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) ↗.
What to expect:
- An introduction to the principles and practical implementation of the Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) framework.
- Hands-on training using the PARC SSbD Toolbox ↗ and others (methods, models, and workflows) relevant to SSbD.
- Focus on key aspects of SSbD, such as scoping analysis, molecular redesign, early screening, and decision-making.
- Highly engaging and interactive programme with hands-on training, and presentations/discussions led by experts in the field.
Who should attend:
The Boot Camp is intended for professionals interested in applying the SSbD framework in practical research and innovation contexts. It is particularly suitable for participants seeking practical experience with tools relevant to SSbD implementation.
Practical details:
Participation is the SSbD Bootcamp is free of charge, but attendees are responsible for covering their own travel, accommodation, and other expenses. Applications will be evaluated by field experts, and successful applicants will be notified by the end of August or beginning of September 2026.
