5th Corsican Summer School on Modern Methods in Biostatistics and Epidemiology
The 5th Corsican Summer School on Modern Methods in Biostatistics and Epidemiology will take place from 6 to 10 July 2026 in Corte, Corsica (France). This intensive course will focus on statistical methods and recent advances for excess risk analysis, with particular emphasis on net survival and excess mortality in public health and epidemiological research. Delivered by an international faculty of experts, the programme will combine theoretical lectures with practical sessions using R, covering topics such as non-parametric and parametric models, flexible modelling approaches, handling missing data and diagnostic tools. Real-world case studies and interactive discussions will support the development of both conceptual understanding and applied analytical skills.
Target audience
This course is particularly relevant for biostatisticians, statisticians, epidemiologists, researchers, and students working in cancer registries, chronic disease research, or related areas, as well as professionals interested in advanced statistical methods for health research. Participants should have prior experience with R.
