Data Visualisation with R
The SIB Data Visualisation with R course took place on 16-17 December 2025 in Zurich. It was designed to help scientists create clear, effective, and visually compelling representations of their data. This hands-on training guided participants through the principles of designing data visualisations for scientific communication. From selecting the most suitable type of graph to avoiding common pitfalls such as error bars, participants learned how to tailor their visualisations to specific audiences and contexts, whether for scholarly publications, presentations, or complex datasets. The course also included practical sessions using R.
Target audience
This course was best suited for researchers and scientists with basic experience in R who were looking to deepen their skills in data visualisation.
