Training - In silico models and read-across

PARC is organising a training course on in silico models and read-across

PARC is organising a remote training course on the use and interpretation of in silico models and read-across, with a special focus on VEGAHUB and applications related to human, ecotoxicological, and environmental properties. The online course will take place on 3-4 March 2025. The scientific coordination is provided by the Istituto Mario Negri (IRFMN), Italy.

What to expect:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of in silico models, their relevance, advantages, and limitations.
  • Learn about data processing, chemical descriptors, algorithms, validation, and applicability domains.
  • Explore read-across tools and how to integrate results from in silico models.
  • Develop skills to interpret model outputs, assess reliability, and apply the tools critically.
  • Participate in hands-on exercises and case studies.

Who should attend:

The course is designed for risk assessors and researchers (beginner level). It will address the uncertainty and purpose of different applications to distinguish their relevance in various regulatory and scientific contexts.

Practical details:

This course is open for both PARC members and non-members, although priority will be given to PARC members. There are no registration fees.

Application deadline:

Submit your application no later than 24 February 2025.

How to apply:
