Join the CERJ team as a research fellow in Computational Metabolomics
We are hiring a Research Fellow to join the Centre for Environmental Research and Justice (CERJ) at the University of Birmingham for a 3-year position in computational metabolomics.
This role will focus on developing reproducible computational tools and workflows to analyse complex LC-MS and MSⁿ data, with the goal of characterising metabolomes across model organisms and human cell systems.
You will be part of an interdisciplinary team contributing to major EU-funded initiatives, including PrecisionTox ↗ and the PARC.
The position offers an exciting opportunity to advance the science of chemical safety and human health through large-scale comparative metabolomics.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing FAIR and open-source workflows for metabolomics data;
- Characterising species-specific and cross-species metabolomic profiles;
- Collaborating with the Phenome Centre Birmingham and European partners.
