As part of the Webinar Series on Quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) in chemical analysis and in vitro toxicity testing, PARC will host a webinar on Sampling Quality Assurance and Quality Control, which will take place online, via Microsoft Teams on 24 June 2026, from 12:00 to 13:00 CET. The session will be led by Katrin Vorkamp and Nathalie Guigues, researchers at ENVS-AU ↗, Denmark and LNE, France ↗, respectively.

What to expect:
This webinar will provide a practical overview of QA/QC principles applied to sampling, covering key aspects from sample collection to transport, storage, and pre-analytical handling. Participants will gain insight into how robust sampling protocols and field quality controls contribute to reliable and comparable data across studies and domains. Examples from environmental monitoring, human biomonitoring (HBM), and food sampling will be included. Topics will include:
• Key elements of sampling protocols (equipment, procedures, documentation);
• Sample pretreatment, transport, and storage considerations;
• Stability of analytes and factors affecting sample integrity;
• Field quality controls (blanks, replicates, spiked samples, reference materials);
• Practical approaches to assessing and managing sampling uncertainty.

Who should attend:
This session is open to researchers, field personnel, laboratory analysts, quality managers, and data users involved in chemical monitoring across environmental, human biomonitoring (HBM), and food domains, both within and outside PARC.
