The Burden of Risk Factors Summer School will take place from 19–21 August 2026 in Ghent, Belgium. The course is designed to equip participants with the methodological knowledge and practical skills needed to assess the burden attributable to risk factors and to evaluate their impact on population health. Through lectures, hands-on exercises, and applied case studies, participants will learn how burden of disease approaches can be used to quantify the health impact of behavioural, environmental, and other risk factors, supporting evidence-based public health decision-making.
Target audience

A basic understanding of epidemiology is recommended. Teaching is conducted in English and participants should be comfortable working with MS Excel.
