PARC empowers researchers with FAIR Data and Databases training in Ljubljana
In alignment with our commitment to empower researchers through interdisciplinary knowledge, an in-person PARC training course on FAIR Data and Databases was organised at the Jožef Stefan Institute ↗, Ljubljana, Slovenia, between 22 and 24 May 2024.
Twenty-six researchers and students, including PARC members and non-members, who regularly work on chemical exposure, hazard, and risk assessment, attended this training course designed to enhance participants' understanding of FAIR principles and their practical application in data management.
In addition to theoretical and hands-on sessions, participants had the opportunity to visit the laboratories of the Department of Environmental Sciences and the experimental nuclear facility, the TRIGA Mark II Reactor, which is part of the Jožef Stefan Institute’s research infrastructure.
The positive feedback from this training highlights the growing importance and demand for comprehensive education on FAIR data principles. PARC remains dedicated to facilitating such knowledge-sharing opportunities and is planning future events to continue supporting the research community in adopting FAIR practices.
