PARC launches 2026 webinar series on QA/QC in chemical analysis for monitoring purposes and in vitro toxicity testing

PARC is launching a new webinar series on Quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) in chemical analysis and in vitro toxicity testing, aiming to strengthen the quality, consistency, and regulatory usability of monitoring data generated across environmental, food, and human health domains, and toxicity data generated through laboratory tests.

The series will introduce two complementary guidance documents developed within PARC, with a core focus on QA/QC guidance for the pre-analytical and analytical phases of chemical analysis, covering the quantitative determination of contaminants and residues in environmental, food, and human samples. The guidance outlines best practices and minimum requirements within PARC, supporting reliable and comparable analytical results across laboratories. In addition, one session will present complementary guidance on quality criteria for in vitro toxicity and in vitro toxicokinetic studies, contributing to the robustness and regulatory relevance of experimental data.

Across five sessions, participants will explore key QA/QC aspects including:

  • method performance criteria,
  • sampling,
  • interlaboratory comparability,
  • minimum reporting requirements and data acceptability,
  • quality criteria for in vitro toxicity and toxicokinetic studies.

The webinar series will also provide a platform for discussion and feedback within PARC and the broader scientific community. The webinars are planned to take place online between April and December 2026 and will take one hour each. The first one will be dedicated to Method performance criteria in quantitative chemical analysis in environment, HBM and food, taking place in 17 April 2026 (more details here).

The series is designed for researchers, laboratory analysts, quality managers, and data users working in chemical analysis, toxicology, human biomonitoring, and in vitro methods, both within and outside PARC.

Further information about each session will be announced on the PARC website a few weeks in advance.
